Sore?, nope. I even attended evening kickboxing class to be raped by assistant instructor (2nd at Nationals) and soon BJJ noob in town.

Instructor's name: Bruno Brito.
He's not a Carlos Gracie student, he's "affiliated" to Carlos Gracie organization/team or something like that. I haven't digged more cause i feel a bit harsh to interrogate the instructor without i become more confident with him.
OTOH: 2nd session, more ownage and more fun. I anklelocked a guy (another noob) in sparring, instructor went crazy: "No, No, No, Not until purple....!!!!!". LOL
A question: i'm a ***** for wearing knee pads under my gi pants or the "tattoed badassess" (also noobs) want to shorten their careers before they begins? -

Don't be afraid to ask for who's who in your club. I am extremely skeptical of blue belts teaching. To the point of being critical. Most people are proud of who they train under and what they have done.
When you said Carlos Gracie blue belt my BS detector went through the roof. Look at www.bjj.org to check out who is who. Most blues and purples aren't there. But a good portion of brown and blacks are. And I would venture to say almost all black belts are listed, the higher thier rank the higher the probability.
