There are TWO ways to tie your belt in judo for example, the typical way, which ends up with the criss-cross in the back and the "randori" method ( or is that that name for the criss-cross?) in which you have one uniform band across the back.

In the front your belt can look one of two ways.

A typical knot facing either left or right in which you can see the way the belt ties into itself or it can look like it has 1 vertical knot and 2 horizontal knots.

YOUR system should have a standard way.

    Thanks for the help.

Thanks for being an asshole, too. What? Am I supposed to listen to you? You aren't anybody, man.

You actually took the time to post, then said something like, "don't waste my time". Unglue yourself from your computer chair. You got a Black Belt in web browsing already. Try crosstraining it with Life.

Just get a pre-tied clip on belt. It will save you a lot of trouble.

About belt tying, from an article written by a high ranked Aikido master:

"The obi (belt) is wound around the stomach clockwise or from the left to the right. It should be noted that clockwise movements are used in the rituals of natural magic, while anticlockwise movements are used in the rituals of black magic.

The wrapping motion of the belt blends the solar an lunar aspects of the individual. The obi also indicates the center (hara), which is about two centimeters below the navel, where the chakra of the source of the holy fire (seika tanden) is located. The knot of the belt is a true-love knot and symbolizes the figure of a horizontal "8", the sign of infinity. This symbol represents the evolution of human beings and the renewing of energies, moving in all directions, the infinite wandering of the human spirit looking for the alchemical wedding with the universal soul. The knot also stands for the passive mind receptivennes in front of the creating activity of the Divine. The knot of the obi reminds us of the love-knots of the Masonic temple, symbols of brotherhood, the keeping and preservation of mysteries"

So be careful about how you tie your belt. Wrong way and the Voodoo begins.

I'm glad it wasn't just me. She'll have trouble killing both of us if we run opposite directions.
