The only serious problem I can think of with MMA is that it “might” lead someone to leave there groin open. Although I think the threat of accidental contact would be enough for most men to guard that area. And I’m TMA

Tough is not how you act, tough is how you train.

    Street MMA

You realize there is also something called Street MMA, which trains in mixed arts for realistic fighting. Those people don't have to do UFC and sportfighting.

This is true. Quite a few mma champs have been taken out on teh st337 by a devastating chain punch onslaught to the groin. I heard it also happened several times in the early gracie challenge matches, the unreleased ones that were 'too hot for TV'. This is why mma types will always wear a cup when they go out, especially when they suspect there may be wang chun trickery afoot.

Realistic fighting? Realistic fighting you know, with hot lava, broken glass, and the Ebola virus on the ground and all, isn't taught in that silly MMA with its silly ground fighting, pshhh.

Realistically, anyone with half a brain knows how to eye gouge, rip at a guy's sack, knee in the groin, or bite whatever flesh happens to be near their mouth, and there really isn't some sort of mystical techniques behind these. ****, if I had the opportunity and necessity to pull out a knife or broken bottle on someone, I would. Until that however, training in MMA and having superiority in "non-dirty" fighting will only help you kick a dude's ass until the time for dirty fighting is engaged.

TMA and "the deadly" < used sanitary napkins.

Yes, street mma is d3adly, as seen in this photo of one of its most feared techniques, the διάτρηση γαιδάρων or 'donkey punch'
