I am a certified ATA instructor....

I regret ever setting foot inside the dojahng. I should have done something more worthwhile with my money, like burn it, or give it to a homeless man that was going to spend it on crack cocaine.

The ATA is a friggin' joke with their training, it's taken me too long to realize this. Where else can you take a 2 day seminar in an art that you've never taken and be competent enough to teach it to your students?

This is a really sensitive subject for me because I feel like I was ripped off because I didn't know the difference before hand.

The ATA has it's place for other people, but it's definately not for people who want to protect themselves or want to be in any type of fighting situation.

PLEASE do the following: Kill a little time here getting a feel for the site, and once you've got the local customs and symbols down, do a long write-up on your life in the ATA for the 'articles' section.
