    Stop hijacking my thread with swearing, porno talk, and liquor!

    For YOUR information ATA is the ONLY organisation that has the professional standards the rest of you wouldnt be able to live up to. The voice in the background is from the Scrolls Of Songahm. I bet your organization doesn't even have anything like that! LOSERS!
    There's a few problems here.

    1) "Eternal Grandmaster Lee" --- for whatever his merits, using a line like this means you clearly suffer from Master Worship Syndrome -- a common newbie disorder. There are many, many great martial arts masters in the world, each worthy of our respect. They are also human -- normal everyday people. They do not walk on water, turn water to wine, and they poop and fart like the rest of us. Some of them profusely, I'm told.

    2) Lee's martial arts could have been top notch. His vision may have been sincere and thoughtful. What has become the ATA, however, is not necessarily representative of his original vision. (I speak generally because I have not researched the man thoroughly -- he could have been a drunken ass, for all I know...)

    3) Tae Kwon Do is just a korean version of Shotokan, modified and (in some cases) given a bogus "2000 year history" to try and hide the fact that the art ultimately came from Japan, a country Korea has had...shall we say... a "bumpy relationship" with... ?

    4) And.. last but not least... I apologize for the ass raping. Bullshido forums are not for the faint of heart. You must have the following to get along here:

    1) a good sense of humor
    2) a realistic, pragmatic, down-to-earth martial mindset;
    3) a good sense of self-awareness
    4) thick skin and flame-retardant undies

    I was flipping through the Yellow Pages to see what all was in there under martial arts and I found this. I added the red arrow. I've read you guys complain about 8 year old black belts but I've never heard of martial arts training for 18 month olds. I thought about calling to see if my pregnant wife (she's not really pregnant) could start training so that our fetus has enough training to have his Black Belt test upon birth.

    Yes GM Lee was a pioneer on how to suck more money from a student than any other Korean alive. I will give him this, he had one hell of a business plan and marketing skills. Now I believe your new ass pirate Mst. Bill Clark has taken over that roll. He is 10 times the business man than Lee was. Notice how they have "camps" for instructors? Just how much are these camps? Yes they did have to do a lot of things to pay off the money for their black belt.. As soon as your check clears, you too will be a collard black belt.

    First of all you are wrong. If you look at the WTF, ITF and KHF you will find that they too have standards in which you are required to meet in order to be certain levels. Granted they don't ass ram you like ATA does, but still they do have the standards. Now if you would like to go toe to toe on your organization, it's history, GM Lee's background or Korean martial arts in general, then bring it bitch because frankly you nut riding, ass grabbing, non-reach around ATA crotch sniffers, serverly get on my last dick nerve.

    You see...it sucks when you can't answer to your own bullshit. Why not tell us how you came to the conclustions that ATA is the only place with standards. Why don't you tell me about your art's history and GM Lee's history? Why not explain why the mass majority never compete outside their little world? You are an idiot who is blinded by the BS that has been spoonfed to you. I have already shown you that your "high" standards have been bastardizes by inducting a non-ATA as a 4th dan after a quick 30 minute botched test. Geez open your eyes!

    PArent N Tot martial arts -- ok, yes it's a ridiculous thought... but my 2 year old has swimming lessons that my wife takes with him because, obviously, he's not old enough to really learn to swim yet. The class he is in is open to children as young as 6 (maybe 9) months.

    Anyway, I can see it as a simple, fun activity for a parent to do with their child, regardless of how involved the child actually is. At young ages it's more about just getting the child out and exposed to new and interesting experiences.

    And -- I have to admit -- it's a riot watching my son and wife together. My son loves the water, jabbers and talks and jabbers while they do a variety of fun little exercises designed to teach them how to pull with their hands, kick, etc. It's just so damn cute.

    So, martial arts for tots? Sure. As long as they aren't testing for black belt at age five or some similar bullshit. Hmmm.... maybe I should have promoted my son when he was born to nidan? :new_smile

    And he would get his ass handed to him by dozens of people on this site. Having a black belt doesn't mean you know **** about martial arts, especially if it's one that 14 year old kids can gain at the same time.
