    Hell yeah! Hell no!

It IS time to impeach, but

it won't happen, as long as the r'pubs own both houses.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/krwashbureau...iraq_memo_wa_1

"The hearing focused on the now-famous Downing Street memo, named after the Downing Street office of British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The memo was written on July 23, 2002, by a top Blair adviser.

The memo reports that Bush appeared determined in summer 2002 to proceed with war and had "fixed" intelligence to boost his case before the country and the world. The war began March 19, 2003.

The Sunday Times of London published the secret memo May 1, 2005.

At one point the memo says: "It seemed clear that Bush has made up his mind to take military action, even if the timing was not yet decided. But the case was thin. Saddam was not threatening his neighbours, and WMD capability was less than that of Libya, North Korea or Iran.""

And for Christ's sake don't spout (is Leodom still around?) this type of brain washed illogical crap:
"I think President Bush stands on the side of freedom and democracy, and I think he did the right thing for the Iraqi people and the American people and the world by taking the fight to the terrorists in Iraq," - from Kristin Taylor of the DC chapter of Free Republic.
"Preparing mentally, the most important thing is, if you aren't doing it for the love of it, then don't do it." - Benny Urquidez

No way he will ever get impeached, no matter what.
Not unless he has some kinky sex with some intern.
Right now, all he has done is caused the death of 1000's of people.

Now, if he ass humped some co-ed, then its time to hang his nuts to dry !!!

Ronin's post reads like a joke, but the truth is that if he actually put it in the caboose of an intern, then they'd be crying for blood on the streets.

Anything that happens beyond the U.S. border is just so much less . . . real to American taxpayers.

Didn't think there was a reason to impeach Clinton (I know why it was done and the legal justifications for it).

The problem with impeaching Bush is you would have to show he committed a crime. And in general, lying isn't crime. Once done, you would have to get the conviction. Which as Ronin said, won't happen, with both Houses against him, you couldn't get a conviction on Clinton, no way you'll get one on Bush.

Lying to congress to start a war could be construed as 'high crimes and misdemeanors".

Its certainly a lot more obscene to me than blowjobs and a cigar fetish.

    He lied under oath.

And I think the "High crimes and misdemeanors" clause is just something to be all inclusive of all crimes, whether large or small.

Bush hasn't done anyting to warrant impeachment.

That's why I'm going to come forward about the time he tried to put it in my caboose.

The problem is proving he lied, and wasn't just mistaken. And then you have the problem of those same congressmen having to admit they were derelict in their duty and supported the president knowing he was lying (remember the Senate Intelligence comittee, which included John Kerry, supported the President, and had access to the same intelligence the President had, at the same time, and without going through White House filters).

He's emperor for life, you can't impeach him, you'll get thrown in jail...

(even though this is a cynical statement, what is alarming is the number of conservatives who would be ok with this...)

    I wouldn't.

And hell, I'd strongly consider voting for Hillary if the Republicans run Jeb next time around. We don't need the Muslim world thinking we're a monarchy because of their already spoon-fed, negligible understanding of American politics and the democratic process in general.
