    Another Japanese language question...

They're calling the founder "kancho". Now, the truth is, even though my dad is Japanese, I do not speak or read Japanese, so I have to ask...

Dosen't "kancho" refer to the act of jamming your finger up someone's rectum as a prank?

It's also pretty silly, considering how easy it is for the arm to be grabbed and snapped like a twig if you lock it.
Instruction varied greatly, especially when you take some the ranks into account. Some said not to lock out the joint, but when people keep telling you to go harder and faster, and you're only striking air... Eventually you will start locking the joint out, particularly on kicks if you're trying to snap them.

Their minimum number of classes seems rather...small for every rank.
I can't say for sure, I graded once a year or so. I was pretty slack. For a young teenager, more than once a week is a lot.

Ah, can't really say anything about the prank meaning. I'm still studying the language, and I don't think that's going to turn up in the textbook.

However according to a dictionary here kanchou does have a number of meanings, depending on the kanji used. It could mean anything from the superintendent or director (most likely) to a spy or the captain of a warship.

It could also mean a superintendent priest, chief abbot, or to give an enema.

Ph34r the power of mistranslated language.

    Might I suggest:
    Paizuri- titty fucking
    or
    Tamakeri-ball kicking

A few of those strung together with "way of" at the end could be really offensive to native speakers...:)

Once a week? What the hells?

Punching the air I think is okay if you want to work on form or just to get the heart rate up. After that it's focus mitts for accuracy, heavy bag for power.

Kicking the heavy bags still hurts my shins, but at least I don't get joint pains.

    Well, not as often anyway.

    I don't think that's a cumulative total.

Of course, "bukkake" outside of the context of internet porn just means "splash".

Yeah my bad. I trained once a week then, and graded maybe once a year.
