Push-ups or such I can understand. A kick to the gut? Hell no.

What the hell? I don' t think I've ever been pushed back by a kick, but not dropped by it. You guys must do some shitty kicks.

Christ, kicked in the gut for not bowing to a kempo instructor? I've trained under guys that people pay to watch on tv- Ralph Gracie and Alex Gong, and they would never, ever consider some whack **** like that. This is America, not Iraq or some serfdom. The high ranking black belt probably worked in the mailroom before he started that school. That's just some intimidation, cult ****, too make them seem more fearsome than they are. BTW, who are they, please link their website.

You're probably right. Has a shitty job/life, so he has to gain status/recognition somewhere else.

Of course not. For such a thoughtless infraction as that, you should have been biyatch slapped, stripped, caned, then made to bathe in alchohol.

Now stop being a worthlessly idle student by posting on internet forums and get your ass back to scrubbing the dojo floor and doing sensei's laundry.

Push-kicked in the gut as a punishment for a protocol misunderstanding? Get out. Get out now. *evil laugh*

No, it's not. The point of etiquette and discipline in any serious / legitimate dojo is to create a safe training environment with an attitude of respect.

This sort of cowardly **** is usually carried out by asswipes with bad ego problems and an 'understanding' of the root culture that doesn't extend much beyond Tekken or Karate Kid movies.

To break the elephant’s trunk Movement

This Kon Muay is uses for counter of the kick by throwing the elbow at The ham string.
The attacker walks in and kicks forwards to the rib while guarding with both hands.
The defensive crosses the steps approaches the attacker in close distance, turns to the direction of the attacker’s kick, and throws the right elbow to the attacker’s ham string. At the same time blocks his calf with the left arm which pull up to the high position in order to protect the attacker’elbow.
If the attacker kicks with the left foot, do the same as above in the opposite directions.
If kicks to the body are the problem, try defending yourself.

EDIT: modify the technique according to the attack (side kick, roundhouse...)

    :D
