You only need BJJ to be invincible, but this is because the kimonos are made of kevlar. *sigh* Even my Glock-ryu Gun Fu is powerless against a BJJ stylist.

We're talking about unarmed combat... quit trolling... we're just saying cross-train, be well rounded, and at least we know BJJ works with some of the people, some of the time, reasonably common, in MMA. Its also fair consistent. "Jiu Jitsu" could be one of MANY things, it could be a Judo rip off, it could be Judo + some japanese striking, it could be like BJJ but poorly trained.

Muay Thai is a hard striking style that we know works, like Boxing. Karate CAN, TKD CAN, depends on how you train. BJJ can train full tilt without injury, so it fulfills that variable. MT is normally trained hard, with less air punches and forms and more drills, bag/pad work, and sparring. Karate could be... like MT, or like "mcdojo" arts and just forms.

Jeez. Do we need a disclaimer?

Boxing is very good. But I still feel its missing something. In particular in the area of blocks. In certain circumstances blocking may be the only option. I think the blocks from kyukoshin and wing chun to be fairly decent if you trained them in the right way. MT and TKD can work as a good complimentry art. TKD's side kick is a good add on to your kicking arsenal.
Oh! And dont forget to take escrima. Getting attacked with a weopon is far too common and you want your butt covered in this field.
