gong sau - Thanks that is kind of what I figured but it never hurts to have more opinions.

Well, I had a black belt in TKD before I started my current art, so I had a "basis" in one thing -- for me, I don't feel the urge to focus on only one thing anymore. But I train ALOT -- it's my life -- so I'm putting in a large amount of time with each area.

    JKDChick -
    "...But I train ALOT"

From what people seem to say here that is what it takes.
I shall try to follow that example.

I train 3-6 days a week, depending on injuries. When I can't train, I lift weight, run, snowboard ...

Well.....I'm probably going to do BJJ for awhile, maybe a year or more before I decide I want to branch out.

The gym I'm at offers MT but I am really wanting to concentrate on BJJ for awhile.

Also don't you all have jobs? I mean how do you ahve time to do all this? I go to school then work and barely have enough energy to go to the dojo come on work and then go to sleep just to wake up the next and repeat the same process.
I'll make one when I can find one I like.

You don't have to wait until you branch out - its your choice, of course. At least take one of the Trial lessons of Muay Thai. Its REAL helpful for obtaining a clinch, and unless you can shoot from 8 feet away like a tiger's pounce, its something you'll need.

<John> I'd have to smack you sometime...

The_Sod, its like I said on one of my topics find out for yourself. Don't let everyone else infulence you like "Do Muay Thai and BJJ and you'll be invincible" or whatever. It worked for them, but that dosn't mean that its the best for everyone and that its perfect in everyway.

Carbon, everything I do is geared to making sure I have enough time to train. I take the early shifts at my various jobs, go to bed early on Fridays, things like that.
