Well according to the pple I hang around, even the half-breed I have at my house right now, I am not considred a round-eye! I am "more Japanese than the Japanese!" Besides which or yoiu have taken a punch from Oyama himself? I have and it wasn't a pleasent experience!!!

Been doing kyokushin for 1 month, getting my blue belt in a weekfrom now LOL...
Okay I cheated...I've been doing shitoryu for 4 years and on and off kickboxing... and the sensei said the speed I progress depends on my performance rather than time (different from my shitoryu). There are people who stay at brown belt for 4-5 years before getting the black at his dojo from what I've gathered.
Taikokyu sono ichi to san are probably the most boring kata ever made but it'd very easy to do seeing how its similar to heian kata in movement.
By the way, I like the class, training is basically the same except it has less running and nice kumite drills where you stand and simply exchange body blows and kicks.Last edited by aznraven; 12/02/2009 2:47am at .
