I dodged belt test many times because of some reason , first I never wanted to take belt test until I am satisfied with my skill level because many people who rapidly become blue belt have near about similar skill level as white belt ,secondly being in financial crisis paying for the classes was more than enough for me and belt test required more money.Third there were some other problems as well for which I remained a blue belt forever but I was able to train with higher belts.

In this day and age of kyokushin politics, I don't think affiliation is important anymore. So I would disagree in terms of your rank being meaningless. OSU Sempai is what I'd say!

In reply to canuckkyokushin... I am in Toronto, been training on and off (due to university) for 11 years now, currently shodan.
OSU!
