There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice.

Started at 8 (judo), stopped training at 18, came back at 23, did not stop again. I am 26 now.
    That civilisation may not sink,
    Its great battle lost,
Quiet the dog, tether the pony
    To a distant post;
Our master Caesar is in the tent
    Where the maps are spread,
    His eyes fixed upon nothing,
    A hand under his head.

15/32. There was a gap from 1997-2003 where I wasn't doing any serious training.

My dad sent us all to karate class when I was about 8. I only did it for a few months. I started again at 20, doing karate, basically. I quit that in April of this year, and a few days after my 22nd birthday I started doing BJJ and kickboxing. KB bores me, but I don't see myself quitting BJJ ever.

Did Shotokan when I was 10 for about 5 months, then stopped because I moved away.

Recently restarted, been doing Kyo for 2 months. I'm now 22.

Started in college at age 18. I'm almost 31 now. But I tend to throw out the first four years as the training really was substandard.

As Indy say's "It's not the years, but the miles that count."

one lesson of aikido when I was about 18.
    (big gap)
about a year of aikijujutsu and kung fu around 22.
    (big gap)
now I'm about 2 months into JJJ, and I plan on sticking with this a while.

    (I'm 27 now.)
