not really thai....
Although i really despise aikido, ( actually i despise anything with a DO on the end) wrist throws in general arent really a waste. Does grabbing someones hand and turning it slightly to the left make them do a flailing sideways break fall? no... But I can think of at least 3 uses of the wrist that hurt like ****. -

I have yet to have anyone successfuly use a wrist throw on me. Everytime they try, I just use physical strength to not allow it. Maybe I'm just superstrong, or maybe wristlocks and throws just suck. Plus, the words of Virginia ninjas don't really matter to me anyway.

well wutever, i know they work. Obviously not all of them, and esp not all aikido ones...
Dont think youre the only one that has tried to resist wrist locks before... They arent my favorite thing to do, but they can be made to work, pretty easily if your half way decent. I wouldnt rely on them much from a stand up position tho...
On the ground, thats a diff story.
