I doubt it. He probably had to pass a nicely choreographed routine to get his rank in Wushu. It is a figure sport, after all.

So, your "wushi" is really MMA. Ok. I'm still not impressed. Call it MMA if you're doing MMA.

My Kajukenbo green belt test was twice as long and hard as my Kyokushin bb test. KK had five kata, Kajukenbo fifteen. Both were free. I invited local bbs to spar for the Kyokushin test and a Kajukenbo bb opened up my cheek with a lead left. No blood was shed for the green belt test.

So Meex, you working out with the Kajukenbo guys now? As they used to tell me when I worked for E K Fernandez's carnival, "No shame (haole boy, for you that term wouldn't exacly apply!) geeve 'em."

who 'honor' you by not allowing any bs posers into their ranks. If you can't walk
the walk, don't bother testing. Miss a block, or do not move, you get clocked. The
bullring goes on until the criteria are met. . .amt of techniques, amt of people, etc.

HIs regular training class included 3rd degrees who are there to train. They have
5th and 6th degrees to help with the training, and an 8th degree to keep everyone
motivated. Your bb is respected, because they know you earned it. But, any attitude
on your part because of it is cause for some training 'lessons' from the higher belts.

    Cool atmosphere to train in.
And, every bb will have 24hr access to the training facility.

And congrats to your son on testing. To get to that level is fantastic, specially in Prof. Emperado's school.

He didn't actually want to test, figuring he'd get turned down, and scolded like those other browns two years before. But, Professor told him to sign up for testing 'or else.' -*lol

Well it does in a couple of places. It's Michael O'Donnell btw.

And TBK don't get all upset just because an art does not fit into whatever little niche you feel that it should. Just like there are good TKD, Karate, and JFGF schools there are good TCMA and WuShu Schools.
