A quick search of Sherdog and fcfighter and no one named Mark Bailey is credited with a having so much as a single fight, (no real surprise). I know that a lot of the smaller shows and the pre-2000 shows aren’t listed but you would think that something as prestigious as the “World Shootfighting Championship” would show up somewhere.

    This guy is a phony…

This web page is to crappy to be real…

    http://futuresportsstars.net/pages/shootfighting.html

In addition there is a Mark Bailey who competes in grappling events but it is not the same guy.

If you search Goggle using the terms “Mark Bailey” and Shootfighting you only get six hits. Of those, two are Grand Master Mark’s new website, one appears to be his old website and the last site speaks for itself. The final two websites are about another Mark, I will call him “Cool Mark.” He actually competes and has a verifiable record. It is interesting that I can find better tournament info on “Cool Mark" Bailey (Pontefract MMA) than I can on this Grand Master-World Champion Mark Bailey…

Also if you search Goggle using the terms “Mark Bailey” and Shootfighting you only get six hits. Of those, four have something to do with this Grand Master Mark Bailey while two are about another Mark who actually competes and has a verifiable record. It is interesting that I can find more good tournament info on Mark Bailey (Pontefract MMA) than I can on this Grand Master and World Champion, Mark Bailey…

Maybe he found those guys with t the same names and decided to take their records as his own.

I didn't correct what appears to be a spelling error, but...

C'mon man. He's paralyzed maimed and killed his opponents. You can't seriously be talking about inviting this monster to a Throwdown. :5eek:

Apparently he taught Hinso (Renzo?) Gracie and his brother Dashun Gracie. Other interesting names include Vitor Bello (Belfort?) and Stuart Little. This guy's so good he can turn a mouse into a deadly fighter. Many other hilarious made up names in the student section.

He almost certainly made that website himself. Check the link at the top of the page.

    http://futuresportsstars.net/pages/

Basically its a 'make your own homepage' site.

does anyone here know Tank? We could ask him for his version of events since Bailey brought up his name without our prompting.

I did a quick goggle search and could not find an official Tank website or any contact information.

But your suggestion is really good, If we can get a response from Tank we could totally bust this Mark Bailey character…
