U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame

Does anyone know anything about this? I can find tons of places on the web where people have been given awards from the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame but I can't find a website for the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that this is a group of McDojo owners who get together and give each other awards each year so that they can hang stuff on the walls of their studios and claim they are the ****.

I have a sneaking suspicion that most MA halls of fame are exactly that.

    I've heard of this...

The owner of the school I train at once got an invitation to join the "Martial Arts Hall of Fame", he tossed it into the garbage...

If anyone is interested I can hit up the National Wrestling Hall of Fame here in Stillwater, OK. This one is truly legitimate.

Yeah, we discussed this a few years ago. They're pretty Mcdojo, buy your way into some prestige hall of fame.

Well, what can I say other than you're right in all aspects, Gents!

I got suckered into one of these so called deals by my ex-Head Instructor. I paid $250 for the "Honor". Got my name in a book, and an award with my name on it, with some made up title. I found out later that my instructor gets a cut if he brings enough people to fill a table for the dinner that follows.

I also found out later that the promoter of this event later ran off with a bit of the profits, and now this "Hall of Fame" is no more. But there are countless others, with a new one springing up every other month.

Well, live and learn. You can all have a cruel laugh on my behalf!

lol, maybe we can get our local Ashida Kim Vale Tudo black belt in!

I mean if ever there was someone deserving of hall of fame recognition I would say it was him!

I would donate money to get him recognized as a martial arts hall of famer, we could make him the focus of a documentary or something- or jsut do the same stuff with someone else......

In fact I think I just figured out what I want to do with my life or at least the next couple years.

Hmm how do we go about tracking down how to get someone nominated.

I have a feeling it's like the "Who's Who" books...

    Thanks for the info guys.

I'd love to see Te No Kage get a Vale Tudo instructor of the year award from the U.S.A Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

That would be great proof that their awards are bullshit. I'll even put up some money if that's what it takes.
