That's basically what Toughill did. She was no longer able to defend herself, so she turned her back to Ali, knowing the ref. would stop it. In a boxing match, turning your back to your opponent is basically comparable to tapping, in my opinion.

Becaus if so, kidnappings of rich people´s relatives are more or less "common". Most of them usually end wwith the family paying a big ammount of money (but not big enough to make it unpayable) and the vicitm apperas unharmed.

I´ts a kinda business some mafia has around there. Killing the victim just would hurt it, so more often than not, the victim is not killed or abused.

Or so i´ve heard. Is not the first case i´ve heard of in Brazil. The ones I´ve heard ended ok: somebody paid, the victim was released intact.
