    Muhammad Abdullaev pretty much tapped out against Miguel Cotto. Of course, if my eye was swollen shut and some dude was rocking me with hooks on that side, I'd tap too.

    That's basically what Toughill did. She was no longer able to defend herself, so she turned her back to Ali, knowing the ref. would stop it. In a boxing match, turning your back to your opponent is basically comparable to tapping, in my opinion.
