I see that we can't own or manufacture cane swords. I'm glad I haven't seen any kenjutsuka using those. It would be terrible if we were actually breaking a law.

I think the idea is that you can't sneak up on people with a sword as well as you can with lipstick. A woman could pull a knife out of her lipstick and shank me without me realizing it, but it's a lot harder to miss someone running around waving a sword.

Yes. Yoshinari Miyata, Hachi- Dan, Hanshi. I have known him & been practicing with him on and off for over 15 years. Thanks tho. I currently pratice with him about once a week. There are actually quite a few good kendo sensei in the bay area. US Team members, Matsuda, Nishimoto, Minami, Onitsuka, Eitoku ...and others.
Miyata sensei is getting up there in years, I think he's just over ~80 and he still puts on his armour, gets out there and whails on people.

Then write some additional info on your previous post about your teacher and how he teaches classes.
