The bjj.org webmaster does not have a crystal ball that magically lights up and lets him know whenever there is a promotion and who has been promoted to what; people have to send this information in.
Thanks for the info! I mean to ask Brad to get himself listed each time I head over but he breaks my ass each class and then I'm not thinking so much about bjj.org :crybaby2:

Speaking of that guy's freakish head...
He really reminds me of the Saturday Night Live sketch where Rachel Dratch was playing a mutant for an American Idol spoof.

"I do not think that is the same Marcus Aurelio that trains here."
Response I received from American Top Team after I emailed Robson's link to them and asked if the "Marco 'Macaco' Aurelio" mentioned therein could possibly be their own Marcus Aurelio.
Anyone know of any other Marco/Marcos/Marcus Aurelios out there under whom Robson might have trained?

I'm posting the link to your longer thread and looking forward to more elaboration on the purported dojo storming mentioned on p. 4...

Hmmm. Very interesting. Robson's bio has been altered and the references to Rickson removed.
Also, take a look at the post by klobel on page 7 of the mma.tv thread:

Things are heating up on the mma.tv thread (link above). Also, someone there asked if Robson was being looked into on Bullshido.

Well, I think another bullshido has been busted...You can read all the gory details on the mma.tv thread:
I actually found myself feeling sorry for the guy who orchestrated the fraud.
Robson Pereira has been removed from their site and replaced with legit Renzo brown Rich Latta as the head instructor:
Pereira is supposedly working toward "re-ranking" under Latta; but if he were indeed a legit BJJ BB to begin with, why would he be in need of re-ranking?

Sorry to bump an older thread, but I felt compelled, because it was a top result on Robson when I was researching his gym (it's local to the area I just moved). I consider myself a pretty experienced bjj practitioner, having been training on and off for 8 years, (Gracie purple belt).
I visited Robsons gym this past week in my quest to find a good local gym and I must say he is a very good teacher, his style is more aggressive then most places I've trained at and that may turn some people off but it works, and most of his students are very good.
Also he currently has a younger guy as a catch wrestling coach who's one of the best natural grapplers I've seen, and a very good teacher, I enjoyed his class and learned a few tricks I didn't previously know.
So while I know their are some questions about his (Robsons) lineage he is endorsed by multiple legitimate Black Belts so his black belt IS technically legitimate. And I can attest he knows what he's talking about and is a good teacher, and his students are good and many have won grappling tournaments, hence I can confidently say that if you're in the area his gym is worth training at.
I hope this helps clear up some of the controversy.
