OK - according to http://fortcollinsmma.com/ Brown (of Ft. Collins, CO) was:

"awarded the title of Soke Shodai (first generation Head Master) of Akumu Ryu Bujutsu in 1993"

Nice self-reference, especially since the akumu dojo has the same address/phone # as Ft. Collins MMA.

He's a Hatsumi product. I like some of the Bujinkan guys and some of them can fight but we've been down this road.

The rest of the creds don't give enough information to verify easily. "Doctorate of Oriental Philosophy (UOP)" - University of Phoenix? University of the Pacific? And the phrasing is wrong - you're give an 'Doctor of' [X] that does NOT state the subject area to that detail - Ph.D., D.Sc., Ed.D. D.H.Sc. J.C.D., etc.

I am unimpressed and questioning. I have a friend with some experience who lives out that way - I might ask him to drop by.

i read on christophe clugstens page about the dangerous no limits streetfighting etc.
these people feed on fear,claiming to have the holy grail of ma that works under any condition etc.
and then a list of 40 most dangerous or d3adly men,gimme a break,thats the same level as my dad can beat up your dad.
those webpages are amusing,thats about the only value they have to me.

I guess he still hasn't taught you how to spell Tae Kwon Do yet, huh. You should run away from any non-Japanese using the title "soke" (and probably any Japanese using the term outside of Japan), especially if they put the title before their name.

hehe im not sure if you are making a point,there are loads of teachers who can teach you more in 3 weeks then you learned in 8 years of tea kwon do.
