IŽd throw in chins and/or pulls an get rid of curls, too. You can do a full body routine in one day or split it up in two or three days a week. IŽd split it because usually I canŽt do DL the same day I do squats.
You coul do it this way:
Day 1: Squats, bench, chins/pulls
Day 2: DL, overhead presses, rows (optional) -

You can work your biceps with chins and pulls, just the way you work your triceps with bench press.
Now mind you, is not that is a bad idea to work your biceps, I personally donŽt bother.
It would be good if you could give yourself a little rest between lifting sessions, and moreso if youŽre keeping with your MA training (because youŽre keeping it, right?). So, if you could separate your lifting sessions three or four days, that would be better.
Anyway, when youŽre starting lifting, youŽre gonna progress. Just make sure you eat properly and have enough rest. -

add some grip/forearm work to what you posted to begin with loosing the curls and adding overhead presses.
This would be fine for what you have now:
1.deadlifts
2.bench
3.squat
4.OH Presses
5 rest
6.repeat
If your looking for averall applicable strength, do odd lifts as well. Just try to pick up heavy stuff. Do that and some heavy 1 arm lifts for your core strength. -

I have some questions.
1. When you guys say Overhead Press. I take it you mean the military press? This is where you are seated and you have a dumbell in each handand you raise it vertically above your shoulders, lower and repeat.
2. Can you substitute the benchpress with dips & weighted dips. They work pretty much the same muscles ?Hannibal: The sworn enemy of dishonest politicians, source of entertainment on Bullshido and newly appointed Office Linebacker. Terry Tait ain't got **** on me !!!! -

I have come to the conclusion that, the best weight lifting exercise are those that are applicable to the "real world".
Squats - getting in and out of chairs, suqattring down and get back up, etc.
Dips - the motion we use to get out of a chair or to lift us over something
Chins - to pull ourselves up, to show off to our ***** friends
DL - To lift anything from the floor
Overhead press - TO lift the cat and throw him out of the window
Bench press - to push a some ladies stalled car and get her number
Curls - To lift the grocery bags and hole our brat while shopping.
Did I miss anything ?
