I don't know, the hapkido guy in the middle looks out of place in this picture. Why would Oprah and GB Sr. be honored in "Martial Arts World Magazine"?

HA!! That's my former Hapkido GM!!! He went fully cash freakout McDojo while I was at his school. The instruction was great, because I was being taught by 3 very talented Hapkido Masters, but this guy would just sit in the office and scheme new ways to make money. He is really nutty with his ideas about how to make money. He had us (in the later days of my tenure there) attend seminars with this idiotic yelling Korean tkd guy who would scream "I loooooove martial arts! I loooooooove my family! I looooooove my country! I looooooove martial arts!" etc. I guess this was intended to make us get our friends to sign up? Any way, Hyun is also really enamored of this scammer MA magazine, and has been dumping resources into it since 2 years before I left the school. This mag isn't seen anywhere, but by people who buy ads in it! I guess he finally bought enough ad space to get this grand recognition he so richly deserves. It's kinda like those schemes where you can buy yourself a spot in Who's Who In America, but it's only looked at by other saps like yourself.
What's really sad about Hyun and his school is that his teachers are really talented people that he sponsors over from Korea, but then works them 6 days a week, morning, afternoon, and evening classes, and they are all really unhappy, but feel stuck because he set them up here. I don't imagine he pays them very much either.
After a big dispute with one of the masters (which I may post later) I left to continue my Hapkido Training at Keller's Hapkido (now Keller's Martial Arts), cross training in BJJ there.
Much respect to Masters Ahn and Jang of Hyun's Hapkido though. They are great teachers, but I feel sad about their situation with that school.

Yes, something is amiss.
Can anyone tell me why Oprah only has one HUGE white tooth ?????????
Space may be the final frontier,
But it's made in a Hollywood basement.

What better way to make oneself look good than by "associating" with reputable people. He probably hopes that the admiration for Winfrey/Bush transfers to him. It's like the celebrety testimonials in TV ads.
