I heard on another forum, from someone who apparently lived there, that it was common for everyone to practice this sort of conditioning in their village. Which could be the only reason why there are even women and kids. It is their version of "Iron" training. Although I heard there were alot of "rituals" involved, which sounds pretty dumb.
Obviously they are not good fighters, but some Silat practicioners are pretty hardcore, I don't care how good you are on a mat, I would still watch myself with someone who trained seriously in Silat. It is a conditioning method, not "learning how to fight" as for the fighting ability of any of those dudes (and kids, and women), that is still unknown. -

agree with poop loops
the main thing conditioning does is create scartissue
and numben nerves that sounds healthy.
alot of the tma stuff is superstition that is they get beat up when they
meet boxers and such. they are museum guards for a system
brushing off dust of antiquited techniques keeping alive obsolete ideas. -

Looks like a traditional style of Silat as done in Indonesia somewhere. Based on the footage I'm assuming it was taken sometime ago.
I think the bit right at the end -- where you see one guy copping a beating from about 6 or 7 others -- should have had the title: "This man didn't pay his training fees!" -
