Hince the learning lesson I got. This incident happened when I first learned how to use it. Bottom line, I was a dumbass and didn't pay attention to the hand positioning on the grip.

But of course. I simply dabbed my other finger in it place some on my tongue and then spat it out followed by a high pitch scream like that of pushing out a gall stone.

Alittle late but...What is the difference between butterfly swords and butterfly knives. I need to order a pair of butterfly knives today. However, I mostly see butterfly swords advertised. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.
In wing chun terms, "butterfly swords" and "butterfly knives" are synonamous.
As I understand it, the "dao" in "bat chum dao" means knife. The term for sword in Cantonese is usually "geem". However both "butterfly swords" and "butterfly knives" refer to the same weapons in wing chun.
I think the confusion exists because there was already another weapon known as a butterfly knife (singular) when the wing chun weapons got ported over and translated.
