The butterfly knife and the butterfly sword are the same thing. It should look like a short, wide saber with a handle guard. Beware of buying a balisong by mistake if ordering "butterfly knives" by mail or internet.

Miguk, if you're only referring to WC weapons, sword and knife are interchangeable and do not denote two different weapons. WC only has two weapons, the BJD (butterfly sword/knife) and the LDBK (6.5 point pole). If someone is trying to tell you different they are lying.

Not a senior yet. :) Working at it though. As for a balisong, I have one of them as well. I love it. I of course learned the hard way of how to open it correctly and quickly with the blade facing AWAY from your hand. ha.ha..ha.

Thanks again. I was going to order from Century but I was advised against it. Some one mentioned that BLT Supply has decent ecenomical ones.
