Consider this.
The easiest submissions to get down are not always ones that work vs someone of relative skill.Generally in competition you face guys around your ability level.So something like that paintbrush becomes low percentage whereas against a newbie or streetfighter the paintbrush should generally be a sub one tries first.
Another important factor is that although the RNC is the top finish in MMA it usually comes after a beatdown.
It does not decide the outcome, it just is the outcome.
Finally there are tricky moves like oma platas that work great of scrubs if you are skilled.
Just trying to point out that there's alot to think about before deciding which subs are the best ones for MMA as well as for self-defense. -
