Use one of your legs and shove the crook of his elbow with your foot. That'll soon break his grip!

Supercrap: Thanks.
MEGALEF: You won't see it coming :qright7:
Too bad you weren't there yesterday. The club is preparing forthe competition in Copenhagen. Yesterday was probably the most brutal workout of my life (which, of course, isn't saying much).I pointed at him [the panhandler], bringing my rear hand up in a subtle approximation of the double Wu Sau guard that is the default hand position in Wing Chun Kung Fu.
"Step away," I hissed.

Minor detail: Which foot do you propose using? The one closer to or further away from his head?
EDIT: after considering the issue (and rolling around on my bed a bit) I'm thinking one should use the foor further away from the opponent's head, in order to not create a hole from which he can withdraw his arm..Last edited by PoleFighter; 3/15/2005 6:58am at .

Sigh. Yup, white belt. Been doing it three times a week for six months, but I only started using that move about a month ago. I've also never seen anyone actually use the "foot in crook of the arm move" at my club. The only tip I've gotten from the blue belts was pulling further up on the arm in order to get increased leverage, but as I said, it doesn't always work for me.. Take this thread for what it is. It's not like I'm asking how to do an omoplata, I just want to know if anyone uses anything that I haven't heard of.
