DRD is a class act.

He consistently tries to keep the peace and shows both respect and restraint at every turn. At the same time I've never seen him back down to anyone and he offers his real name and phone number to anyone that questions who he is or what he's about.

He has personally helped me out at a time when I needed serious advice and I can tell you that if your straight with him and extend your hand in friendship you'll make a very worthwhile friend in this man.

does someone who is self taught need credentials?

40 years speaks for itself. I have spoke to Don on a personal level and he is a true man.

i praise people who are self taught.

as long as they can back it up, go for it.

now Don is a man's man, he is a gentlemen and i will fight in his defense.

Why do you care if he had a diploma in his office by somebody else who is self taught.

Don, you know how to reach me. you have me on your side, your a good guy!

drd,i have seen your posts and feedback in this site. i am new to this forum and find it amusing and also way off the wall for a true martial artist to conduct themselves in this manner.you say you have 40 years in . in what? i am and i am sure i speak for the majority of the people out here,would like to know what your certifications are. first of all if you have 40 years in just who was your instructor? that would make you 8 years old when you started.right?thats kinda funny because the first karate teacher in u.s. nishiyama didnt get here until around 1966 followed by kisaka and okasaka both out of phila. and n.j. and nishiyama in ca.If you started in 1963 at 8 years old just who was your instructor? Ed Parker the father of american kenpo was still in hawaii at this time. in 1963 there was no kenpo ,karate or kung fu taught commercially or underground in to many places. i know what styles were here and where.
