TUF 8: As The Dojo Turns. . .

Figured I might as well post this bad boy up there and let you guys at it.

A quick aside: Did I just see friggin' Ric Flair on WWE right before TUF started? Dude, he was doing that **** when I was what, 8? That was almost 30 years ago, so he must be getting up there. Ric needs to retire, seriously. . .
"I had once talked to Billy Conn, the boxer, about professionals versus amateurs - specifically street fighters. One had always heard rumors of champions being taken out by back-alley fighters. Conn was scornful. "Aw, it's like hitting a girl," he said. "They're nothing."

jebus. poor guy didn't even throw a punch. must have a tough head, cause he ate a lot of punches to it. interesting that diego didn't take the armbar as the other guy was reaching up. is that cause it's more risky than gnp?

Two things that didn't surprise me at all about this episode:

    1. Sanchez beat the living daylights out of Rafferty.
    2. The injured guy whose name I can't remember picked Leben to come back.

I was just surprised Diego didn't get struck by lightning out there in the parking lot, Caddyshack style :)

And I was also laughing my balls off listening to Nate and Randy tell Josh how sloppy D's Rear naked choke was against Alex. Whoops!

heh, i'm pretty sure everyone saw leben coming back. as soon as i heard that "a dead fighter is coming back" leben was the first one i thought of. i'm sure his antics get ratings.

Rafferty was probably the weakest of the remaining middleweights. I know it was a ballsy move to pick Diego over his friends, but I still think he would have had a much better chance against Kenny (since we all know Leben wants Koschek) and he should have looked at it from a business angle, as hard as it may have been. Instead he went into the training centre looking like he was about to be executed.

Josh never stood a chance against Diego anyways. Does anyone else get pissed off when people say "[pure strikers] just need to work on their takedown defense"? Good God. Learn some groundfighting.

No. He did it to show that you don't pick Diego if you want to go to the Finals.

Diego was out to show that he is a monster and that Josh was a moron for picking him. Josh should of picked a different fighter.

He puts Josh Koschek and Kenny's skills over Diego's? Give me a break. That was the stupidest thing he could of done.

Diego doesn't consider him a good friend. Diego thought it was a joke for a fight. Guy should of bucked and atleast stayed on his knees and ate less punches directly to his face.

Maybe he could of rode out the round than. That guy to me didn't show ****!
I'll make one when I can find one I like.
