    Espada y Daga
Why don't you just say "Sword and Dagger". I don't see why FMAists aren't more specific with this when in Spanish-speaking countries an "Espada y Daga" can reffer to any kind of sword and dagger including European or Japanese types.

It's just like "carne asada". Non-hispanics think it's something exotic when it really just means "oven roasted meat".

This reminds me of something my dad told me once: "Don't let a dumb fatty ruin anything for you." Just because Phil happens to own one doesn't mean he can use it effectively (an image of his getting stuck in the scabbard in a real life situation comes to mind) nor does it mean that it's not worth using.

Ho, Ho, Ho!! I think a Panabas is what I'll be getting for Christmas.

Peace on earth? I want a blade for chopping heads.

Wow. My Christmas shopping is already done, but these blades are NICE. That Panabas especially is damn nice.

His prices are ridiculously low as well. Hopefully the maker is getting a good bit of the revenue. . .

omg. those are SO nice. holy ****. I would not mind one bit being beat to death with those. it would be an honor.

I bought Ironwood arnis sticks IN the phils...and they were 20 bucks a pair. one pair came with tacky bed and black nylon pool cue case. So, your sticks may be really pretty and carved and stuff (SWEET!) but mine were cheaper. and I imported them myself. so there. :P

    Cool stuff!

I've bought ALL kinds of sticks over the years, but usually just go back to cheap rattan "trainers" after a while. I'm really not sure why.

Not to knock his business but he is OVERpriced. But then again, there aren't many distributors selling articles from the PI. If you have the right network in the PI, local pricing will amaze you.

As far as raw rattan, you can buy bushels of 9ft. rattan from Bamboo & Rattan House in New Jersey for decent price.

So, can you point us to somewhere where we can get said swords cheaper? I know SinawaliTrade was awesome while it lasted (they shut down a while back) and I haven't found anyplace like them since. I'd sale my soul for a new hookup.
