The black belt test is the "great equalizer". At TJJ you are expected to do the best you can, and then some.

OK, the rest of your post im not going to touch, seemed believable to em and all that. However, how can you say someone passing through a test too easily is their fault? It is the instructor's job to gauge the student, and award ranks accordingly. Id everyone passes as the original poster described that is not the fault of the students. All tests, not just the black belt test should weed out those who need to study more of the techniques of that level.

I have some problems with your sparring comments later on, but this was rediculous.

jean - Yves Theroux is one of the best full contact kick boxers. Doesn't mean Therien is or isn't **** but the guy has the record to back up that claim.

Your right Jean-Yves is a great guy. He also does not require you to defend him. My post had nothing to do with his record or his accomplishments.

Exactly my point. This isn't a reason to resurrect an old thread.

Now, if you trained there and had proof (not his fight record) but of the school itself you'd be fine.

If you look above you are defending him while denying doing so.

On another thread, Jamboo wrote that he heard about the donuts from Scott Hill, an FSD instructor. Wouldn't put a lot of faith in it.
