    Hell yeah! Hell no!
    I saw a lot of the traditional training, and then they showed some modern "artistic" wushu demos... then I saw some San Shou sparring and one SS guy training (with thai pads) and then a K-1 match. The guy even admitted it was modified Muay Thai.

    From what I saw of the K-1 battle, it amounted to mostly MT, some clinching, and takedowns. I tried so hard not to hit myself out of sheer frustration... these guys still train in that traditional way, but the sparring and san shou fighting looks so much like a ripoff of Muay Thai its infuriating.

    So yeah, I just saw Bullshido. They gotta do it their own way (so its chinese mahshal aats) then they do their me-too MT ripoff with takedowns... I don't mind mindernization, but if you're going to take from other things, ADMIT TO IT INSTEAD OF SAYING ITS YOUR OWN. They call it Chinese and do their traditional kata as a point of national pride... I'd put the blame on their communist system. But it really pisses me off...

    K-1 is a kickboxing competition

    K-9 is the name of a movie about a dog.

    I have no idea what K-12 is.

    K-Y is a form of lubricant called KY Jelly.

    K-12 is kindergarten through grade 12 in the public school system (at least in the US, dunno about other countries).

    Uh, could we stick to the topic?

    lol.

    San Shou, from what I;ve read, Is actually more American kickboxing and wrestling put together, fought in a more MT style, with some Judo takedowns as well.

    A majority of sites you can go to will show you this: it's really good and everything but yes, it's mainly (if not totally) just a mixture of MT (kicks), AKB and wrestling/minimal Judo from what I can see. However no knees or elbows are allowed in modern San Shou, just like no headbuuts and not all takedowns / throws are allowed in modern MT, includin no barefists. Though they do claim that they specialize in sidekicks, but again could just as easily be AKB.

    San Shou does look very good verall - it's an eclectic system though, no really an orginal one (at least not any more.)

    Search for "San Shou" on Google.com etc and you'll see what I mean...
    "Training = pain." - I said that.

    I saw both a neck clinch (albeit sloppy) and a body clinch (which looked a bit better). The Neck clinch had a knee to the chest, and the body clinch was put into a takedown...

    Either way, its real annoying to me that they'd still call it Chinese, and the essence of Wushu. Its a matter of national pride... but give credit where its due!

    Its also obviously not wushu...

    wushu just refers to chinese martial arts. there is contemorary, shaolin, and traditional symstems(wing chun, my jong law horn) of wushu. san shou or sanda just means "free fight". it was made for different style of wushu to vompete angainst eachother. in the last 50 years it has been modernized.
