just watched the rip from the japanese broadcast, hasn't aired in america yet.
hell yeah, anyone who thinks mirko hasn't been workin hard on his ground game should make sure and watch this fight.
I know that is just one spoiler but I can post more if anyone actually likes Mirko besides me.

Well to me it shows in the fact that coleman failed to take him down even once.
edit - I obviously should have said 'takedown defense' in my first post but I didn't want to post a bunch of spoilers unless it was OK with the rest of the board.
I don't know all the rules here yet :angry7:

If the title of your thread has **SPOILERS** written on it, talking about the fight is fine.
A thread title with **SPOILERS** in it and no actual spoilers in the thread is lying...
I hate lying.

haha sorry sorry
it goes like this:
they circle, size each other up. coleman tries for several takedowns, mirko either sprawls or manages to underhook and lift coleman back up, then spin out and back away.
crocop only threw like 1 kick, to the legs.
coleman's defense looked like **** to me, he got tagged HARD with a single shot left cross that sent him nosediving for a second, almost to one knee. Coleman catches himself and looks spooked, backing up. He misses with a left hook and Mirko keeps faking him out making him flinch. another left cross by mirko, coleman misses a shoot and mirko kicks him in the head. More TD defense from crocop, throws coleman back a few paces, then walks in with a couple lazy jabs. Coleman covers up and closes his eyes, and Mirko unloads. Left hook, uppercut, both land real solid. Another left hook, Coleman goes down, mirko closes with the soccer kick for good measure.
spoiled enough for ya?

Excellent sprawling and take down defense on Mirko's part.

I think it's funny how many people thought he was bullshittin when he fired his old trainer and got a BJJ expert on his team... you can tell he's been workin his technique hard, chokin out Randleman and now this.
It's funny I don't hear much about him being a one trick pony any more!

Man, I wanted to bear CroCop's children before this fight and I'm now signing up to bear his children's children. Even if they're half mine. I thought he was in a lot of trouble just before the KO -- and he OUTMUSCLED COLEMAN to get away. (OK, leverage blablabla, but still.)
I don't know if this was in the clip you saw, but after CroCop had left the ring Coleman picked up the mike to say CroCop was the toughest fighter he'd ever gone up against.
Every time I see CroCop -- except for the first Randleman fight, and everyone fucks up sometimes -- I'm in awe of what he's picked up since his last match.

When you attacke with lead rear hands, like Mirko was doing, it means you have very little respect for your opponents defense or counter punching.
Mirko did what he does best, counter the attempted Take downs and keep it standing.
He has the anti-grapple !!
Now that kick at the end was silly, he could have hurt his foot on Coleman melon, a stomp would have made more sense.
