Punches and kicks don´t work, silly. Where did you get that stupid idea?

Cool, we need another 'BJJ vs. standup' thread instead of something interesting, like last straw classes.

Classes that ended the other way:
Kajukenbo, sifu moved to Alaska.
Am Kenpo, instructor got busted w/underage girl
Kyokushinkai, sensei said thirty years was enough, he was going to play golf with his kids.
Chirioku at the rec, students all quit, moved, went on Mormon missions. ****, most fun class I've ever been in - big group all ages. Sensei have "Queen Bee" where we divided into two groups, had to stay on our knees, and if you were turned onto your back you were "dead" and if your team's Queen was turned you lost. Hilarious and brutal fun, kids crying, people screaming with laughter and pain, six kids climbing on a bb's head puliing him down, big guys being Godzilla flinging bodies, big bb's going full on with each other crushing everyone around them, lots of fun.
Kosho Shorei Ryu Kempo, Shihan couldn't make it $$$ (says he'll start out of his garage sometime).
Smithfield class, mentioned above, drugs and sex.

The only thing left is to burn that school to the ground.
Figuratively speaking of course. Unless I am not speaking figuratively.

I quit TKD a while back. It wasn't so much a sudden realisation as just needing an excuse. The instructor is great and the club is very progressive by TKD standards -but it lacked the reality-Sd and pressure testing I wanted -I wasn't developing anymore. My excuse came in the form of injury -I couldn't train for a while and just didn't go back. Thanks to MA internet forums I kept in the MA scene, got talked into trying MMA and got the bug.

This woman was very very small, and nowhere near skilled enough to do anything to me when we sparred, except get the 'little tappy shots' that score points but never hurt.
Don't you love that about Mcdojo's. They don't want to be labeled "Mcdojo" but they promote people who are prettier (form wise not gender). Then say stuff like our art is to D34dly for tournaments. I can't believe I bought into that BS.

It's kind-of a harsh crushing feeling when you finally realize the waste of years, sparring kids, doing pushups during time that could be spent learning something, reciting oaths, perfecting one part of a form, rolling with a throw so the person could execute it properly, feeling secure that you are becoming a humble baddass, while all the while some kid spending half the time in a boxing gym could wipe out your whole dojo.
