What I see is you didn't answer my question. All of your hypothetical examples keep changing to fit your side of the argument.

Actually to make it easier quit playing the What if game. Argue your point and go from there.

This What if garbage is tiring.

What if the guy you punched had a knife?

    See what I mean?

Please tell me this alleged Framework and what makes you an authority?

JESUS CHRIST it was an idea!!! chill the **** out okay, so it was far fetched. :5arg:

The framework is the bare skeleton of WC (centerline, four corners, immovable elbow) with the hands up to guard the face like in boxing, and the JKD Bai-jong stance, which can be either open or closed.

Also the Fencing principles of using the lead right as a weapon to Intercept the opponent, with the Fencing concept of the "fighting Measure" applied to footwork. And also the Boxing Punches, the Shovel and Corkscrew Hooks, the Bob/weave, Slipping, Ducking, and some simplified trapping.

I'm no authority... This is simply the position of the JFJKD Nucleus.

Basically the hypothetical **** was just theory. So i guess i my theory was flawed. See! I admitted it. I dont know enough about JKD as of yet to really say those things conclusively. Sorry guys, i got carried away.

Have you seen all of the divisions in JKD?

Which is what everyone was trying to point out until, you started speaking like an authority and losing your cool. So how about you calm down and learn?

My point is that JKD is based on scientific principles that are true because they have been proven to be true (shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line, Acceleration of body weight produces explosive power, etc.) So,JFJKD is a viable combat system that can be applied in MMA, with supplemental grappling.

Two of the easiest and best posts in the current part of the thread. WC framework? Do you understand that was basically, what BL was trying to get away from? So, why is it suddenly important to fall back into the "TMA" trappings he was moving away from?

Other than that in fencing you hold the weapon in your dominant hand, what the hell does this mean? I'm finding it difficult to visualise a striking art where you don't aim to 'intercept the opponent'?

Bearing in mind that I fenced for over a decade, what does this actually mean?
