    Jeet Kune DO Vs. MMA

This may be a dumb question, but I have been reading
Bruce Lee's TAO of JEET KUNE DO, and it would seem to me
that his philosophy is the same as that of the standard MMA philosophy.

With that said. What is the difference between Jeet Kune Do and MMA?

We do not have a Jeet Kune Do school in my area and I have never been to a
class, I have seen some Paul Vunak videos and to be honest his technique
    did not seem that great.

BTW, I am a total NOOB at this and may not be posting in the correct area
    so please be kind.

Has anyone ever seen that book called "How to defeat Brazilian Jiu Jitsu using Jeet Kune Do?"

I swear its an actual book and barnes and nobles carries it, you can find it on their site just by typing JKD or BJJ.

Has anyone read this or seen it? I am interested in seeing what it says, but I havent seen it at the local B&N and I am definately doing a blind purchase online.

    Paul Vunak.

Eduardo "You dont stop until i say stop, you dont get tired until i say your tired, keep going."

I'm just parroting what was said in the forums previously but MMA is a ruleset/sport, JKD is a martial art which emphasizes the need to cross train.

I think Bruce Lee intended JKD to be what we now call MMA. It's seemed to me that he advocated using what ever was appropriate in any given situation. If course you have to throw in the stop hits and broken rhythm & such.

    Vunak's technique not that great?

I want to know your criteria for great technique.

Bruce Lee would have won UFC 1-17. Then just before UFC 18 drown in a bathtub.
