I think the rule that, if it were to disappear, would change things the most would be strikes to the groin. I'd wager the 'game' would change dramatically.

Giant City Crushing Robots (tm) couldn't use that BJJ stuff on t3h 5tr33t. On t3h 5tree7, in the REAL WORLD, the ground is littered with skyscrapers, bungalows, and broken tour buses. You don't want to be on your back in that stuff. In a sport match out on a flat, level prairie, sure, but that's a whole different world.
Plus, on the street, Giant City-Crushing Robots face multiple helicopters and tanks, so they can't afford to be tied up on the ground. Only Giant City-Crushing Tae Kwon Do offers the ability to stay on your feet and be alert.
