I can't believe I just read all that. It's good to see that the internet tradition of wasting hours of your life disproving the opinions of some moron with zero influence on anybody who matters is still going strong on Bullshido, though.
I pointed at him [the panhandler], bringing my rear hand up in a subtle approximation of the double Wu Sau guard that is the default hand position in Wing Chun Kung Fu.
"Step away," I hissed.

I was going over anoter forum I frequent and happened across a gem. Last year, before I was training anything at all, I had just started watching MMA and was actually trying to find a boxing gym.
At this time, I made a post that will give you insight into what a MMA-raised, Royce Gracie-envying newcomer thinks when they are looking for a martial art to learn after just reading nothing more than the Sherdog forums:I'm also looking for a gym with Muay Thai kickboxing, and one with Brazillian jujitsu, but they are not priorities at the moment.Let me repeat that:
Hell, I'm even interested in judo, sambo and submission wrestling, since they are all so interesting.
judo, sambo and submission wrestling
Aren't these the arts you said people are neglecting because they are too obsessed with BJJ? And yet, I would have taken any of them, but I was lucky enough to find BJJ first.
I'm like a Blad3 who actually trains, and even I was (and still am) willing to do judo. I would do it for the throws, not for the groundwork, since that would be retarded, but still, it's not like BJJ had driven all thoughts of other arts out of my mind.

Now, now I know the Forseti thing has gotten to you but don't be knocking my judo groundwork! Judo is the foundation I built all my grappling on. ROCK ON JUDO! :headbang:I would do it for the throws, not for the groundwork, since that would be retarded, but still, it's not like BJJ had driven all thoughts of other arts out of my mind.

Stop talking **** about judo! BJJ is judo! You wouldn't have your gay thong grappling if it wasn't for judo, which is just judo anyway. You're talking **** about judo because you mean what I want you to mean. That's the way it works on the internet.
