I think the Kickboxing influence comes from a former MT instructor who used to teach there.
As far as WC, I've never studied it, and never fought anyone who's studied it... so I dunno. It's always been classed along with wushu in my mind, pretty to look at but questionable in a fight.

Maestro, compare for us if you will the traffic patterns of N Lamar between 1st and 18th street at 6pm and Mopac around 360 at 8am.
