Sounds like you had a bad JKD instrcutor. Just because I'm curious, what lineage were you? I'm a Vunak girl and I think TKD Fighter is with Gary Dill -- right?

Inosanto?
Wow. If that's true -- I mean, geez -- you should have been getting good training. Though, true, it would have been very FMA heavy, right?

tkd fighter, it sounds like the JKD is giving you some good stand-up striking skills. You should at least watch a WC class to see if the hand skills compare to what you are already learning. From your description, it looks like you are lacking joint locks, take downs, chokes, and ground work. WC doesn't have the best take on that stuff (although you will learn some), so I'd suggest a JJ (B or J) or some other grappling art to compliment your style.

I dont know all the terms yet. What is FMA?
Dont get me wrong the Inosanto school was great but what I learned was that I wanted to take one thing at a time. I learn better that way. I had a good boxing background before I went there so it was like a little bit of a review.
Another thing that I liked about the JKD school was you deff got your moneys worth. They had alot of training going on there. -

FMA......lol i get it
"Build a good base (note: "good", not TKD, become PROFICIENT at it, then you can start branching off. People who just jump in to BJJ, MT, boxing, porn, all at the same time, usually develop a lot slower than someone who specialises in one, THEN branches off."
porn?

I wouldn't bother with Wing Chun, although this will sound strange, I think Wing Chun is especially irrelevant to JKD (as it's geared towards street combat where nobody throws straight line attacks to trap).
Although WC/WT has some good techniques and concepts (pak sau, lap sau, forward energy etc.) it is too complex in action.
I'd recommend learning boxing; IMHO it's much more efficient to slip a punch and have both your weapons to bear for counterattack than to block/parry. Bruce even says this in the Tao of JKD.
I'd make boxing your base style for hand strikes, then maybe learn a bit of Wing Chun. -
