For the last time, Systema is NOT complete bullshido. I've seen it applied to various capacities by a student of Vlad's and what I have seen works. Anyone who has trained with him that I've personally spoken to has found value in what he teaches.
Edit: Jesus H, that clip is terrible. Latin dance music for a russian martial art? Anyway, if you want to look at that clip, then whatever they're doing sucks hard.

Wow....just wow.
I know Systema has been discussed a million times here and I know Rob P (?) on here is a systema advocate, and has brought up some convincing thoughts on the benefits of the art. However everytime a clip like this surfaces I just feel like Systema is complete BS. I know some people will be like "Well you just don't understand whats going on, but if you could feel it, you'd be a believer", I don't know, I think I'll just stick to what I can feel, and actually looks convincing, like armbars, chokes and thai kicks.

Nobody ever innovated anything new through not giving anything different a chance.

I agree with you. I'm sure when the gracies were catching people in armbars circa 1993 (UFC 1), people were like WTF why did that dude tap out. People usually don't respect what they don't understand. However I think that questioning everything shows a healthy mind. Like I said I agree that you should always keep an open mind about things, however I don't think I'll be flying to Bali anytime soon to check out yellow-bamboo :)
I'm surprised to hear you defend that being from an SBG and all, can you honestly tell me that there was any non-compliance or aliveness in that clip? Meh, to each his own I guess.

Because to dismiss everything an entire system has to offer because of a few videos is a little rash for me.

Problem is its not a FEW videos, its EVERY video that comes out associated with systema. As I said, I've read Rob's defense of Systema on this board and he brings up very good points and seems to enjoy it, so more power to him. It's just not for me. I have yet to see a systema video, that a demo is shown @ full speed using systema principles. Like I said, to each his own, but honestly the videos that come out showing systema don't really do alot to increase it's noteriety as a useful art.
