Wow, this show jumped the shark in the second episode. Chris L. should have been removed from the show outright for his late night antics alone, his terminal narcissism, inability to take any accountability for his actions, complete lack of any sort of teamwork and binge drinking are just icing on the cake as it were.

The concept of the coaches picking who leaves seems a little silly since these are athletes involved in a competition...and yet their actual performance vs. one another isn't the deciding factor in their elimination. Yeah, I guess technically the two eliminations to date were removing the weakest links but...the format just seems wrong for the show.

The "survivor" competitions...what can I say...totally lame. I don't understand the convoluted thought pattern of the writers of this show, they simply don't seem to really know what they are trying to do. They jump from borrowing from one "reality show" after another to slap together something which is quite frankly, less than the sum of it's parts.

I hope next week is better, this is shaping up to be a really poorly designed show.

I assumed it would take at least 3 episodes before the whole thing went to ****, I was wrong.
Typical though, how many think this will last a full season, unlike the DeLaHoya crapfest ?

This is a poor reality show, so non-mma fans will not watch it.

This is a poor show about mma, so most mma fans will no longer watch it.

Atleast with Tough Enough (reality show about rassilin), the WWE knew it's core audience would be rassilin fans, so they catered the show much more to them (explaining the business, lots of guest WWE people, etc), whereas the ultimate fighter is just a watered down reality show with a bunch of jackasses I really don't care about.

I will check out next episode, if that's as bad as the second one I'm done.

They shoudl have used the WWE as a lead in, they may have gotten more viewers that way.

Really screwed the pooch on this episode. Big disappointment.

Let me sum it up for those that may have missed.

    A) The romo undertones of the show were confirmed.
    B) The training footage has taken a backseat to the drama footage.
    C) Chris Leban is the complete tool you thought he was in episode 1.
    D) Diego Sanchez is becoming the complete tool you didn't think he was in episode 1.
    E) Randy and Chuck have absolutely no facial expressions. They could possibly be robots or CGI for this show. In fact, they aren't really neccessary for this show. The female showpiece has more lines than both Chuck and Randy combined.
    F) The elimination events were retarded.
    G) Chris goes AWOL and breaks house rules. No punishment whatsoever. More than likely its because he is on TeamQuest with Randy, but could be because the show NEEDS the drama queen.
    H) Next episode they will fight for the eliminations.
    I) Jason 'the weakest link' was eliminated this week. I think he cried.
    J) It's quite clear that TUF has gone the way of MTV's Real World. Confirmed by:
    1) The whopping 1 minute of training footage this episode.
    2) The whopping 2 minutes of gay spandex pole dancing.
    3) The whopping 15 minutes spent on house drama between cherry picked prima donnas.

In short, a major fucking let down for MMA fans. If you have a choice between 8 hours of sleep before work, or staying up late and getting 6 hours to watch this show I suggest going ahead and taking the 8 hours of sleep. I wish I had.
