MMA Pretenderism: A Definitive Study

Aesopian and I have been working on a highly sophisticated academic paper for the last month. What started as a simple rant outsourcing quickly spiralled out of control, fueled by the recent happenings on Bullshido and a few Sherdog threads.

The paper has an abstract, so just download it for a proper summary. We hope this gets the message across to the right people.

This disseration grew from a rant that was running itself through my minds for months. This paper approaches the issue in a very humorous way, but expect to see some serious discussion of this issue very soon.

Seems like Aesopian and Shuma understand now what I was bitching about in the MMA glove thread.

How about adding the sources of the quotes following PizDoff's regarding the "shin surf?" And for the sake of clarity, why don't you mention PizDoff in the paper when you're quoting him? I say this merely because you don't hesitate to name Elmore, Blade, and the like, but why not Piz? Sure, we have the link in the footnote, but for the sake of consistency. It seems sneaky otherwise.

Writing's a little chunky. Too much profanity; not enough explanation of 'inside' terminology...but you *did* punk blad3. I'd give it a c+, or a B- if it was my last read of the day...
