>MMA also leaves fighters a way out - throw in the towel, the ref will stop a fight before an injury occurs or of one guy is just losing, and you can give up, tap out, give a verbal, whatever.
Boxers just can't do that.
WRONG. In boxing you can ALWAYS give up. The ref can stop the fight and your cornerman can throw in the towel. You just look like a ***** if you do it and for a pro that can mean your career is going down.
>Funny, though, MMA audiences are fairly polite compared to the crowds at boxing events. The last live boxing event I went to looked like 'Boyz in the Hood' meets 'Scarface'. Bad vibes for sure.
Vargas you were at my last boxing match? You're probably the one who through the bottle into the ring!!!

Yep, that was me, with the black TAPOUT watchcap, black hooded FULL CONTACT FIGHTER sweat-shirt and the Elvis Sinosic goatee :) I figured an empty 40 across the head would get your attention and make you stop fighting like Liberace. I'm going to have to get up with you and give you some lessons in Thug-jitsu, beeatch!!
"Go cry about it Vargas. Aren't you late for your shift at McDonald's?""I had once talked to Billy Conn, the boxer, about professionals versus amateurs - specifically street fighters. One had always heard rumors of champions being taken out by back-alley fighters. Conn was scornful. "Aw, it's like hitting a girl," he said. "They're nothing."
