Yup, huge. Not sure why, but it really seems to have spread like wildfire. There's a ton of WC stuff on the web by brits. Sociologists should do a study. :)-----------------------------------------------------

WC is big in the UK?Yes, it's mainly because it has been discovered by most to be Bruce Lee's first martial art.Not sure why"Training = pain." - I said that.

In Sweden there's a Swedish Budo Society, comprised of five sections:
*Aikido - 102 clubs - 5,210 members
*Ju-jutsu - 124 - 9,846
*Karate (including Taido, Shorinji Kempo and Bujinkan Taijutsu) - 327 - 16,742
*Kendo (including Iaido, Naginata, Jodo and Kyudo) - 27 - 430
*Wushu (*any* CMA) - 55 - 2,794
Judo has it's own society. I suppose boxing and wrestling has too. As you can see, there's no FMA, IMA, MMA et.c. I'm not even sure that practitioners of these "styles" would (like to?) join the Budo Society. There are most likely clubs out there which haven't joined. -

Heh, would you believe that as many places offer Haidong Gumdo in my hometown as offer TKD? The two rival TKD schools each have it and there are both HDGD and TKD clubs at the university. Of course, alot more ppl take TKD, but the number of places that teach it are equal. But, you have to remember it's a small college town with a big Korean population.

**The most miraculous power that can verifiably be attributed to "chi" is its ability to be all things to virtually all people, depending on what version of the superstition they are attempting to defend at any given moment.**Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog -
