I realized there are several rumors about Lees death, ranging from the "official" report of death by swelling of the brain to him overdosing on pot.

Generally when people train hard, they are training for an event. They look towards it. It is their goal. When they have no goal they lose motivation. Now lets look at Bruce Lee. Straight training for about 8-10 or so years before his death. He did not compete. If you read any book about his training routines, he was obsessive. Comments from the cast of the Green Hornet say that he was overactive to the point where he was annoying. Running 6 miles, 5 minutes a mile, every morning. Uphill. Sometimes with arm weights. His entire day was training. Bruce Lee was ALWAYS ripped. If you look at bodybuilders, they are only ripped two weeks before competition because they change their diet. Bruce Lee.... Where did his motivation come from? Mental illness? Amphetamines? And then his untimely death at only 32 years old...

Bruce no doubt wanted to be great badly. When you want something bad enough...

He was. Course, when you're on speed it's easy to get motivated :P

Naw..I dunno. Just conspiracy theory. I'd like to think it was all natural.

I heard he was taking something, but that might of just been an attempt to slander his rep.

If you train that much after a while your body adapts. You find that if you don't train you can't function normally because you have all the excess energy used for training.

I read somewhere that he was taking diuretics to maintain that ripped look. Professional bodybuilders do the same, only they usually do it for a short period before a compitition. They are perfectly legal. One of the possible side effect of diuretics, from WebMD, is arrhythmia (abnormal heart rhythm). Combine that with overtraining, stess, amphetamines(rumoured) and you've got yourself a deadly combination.

The whole drug thing came up because he was on muscle-relaxants or some such and had a bad headache the day he died. So he was popping pills.

    Um... its bruce lee....who cares?

Hes only the person who opened up other martial arts to united states. Till him it was all Karate, hes the one who opened up chinese martial arts to western culture. Not to mention hes behind the invention of Jeet Kune Do. He also made the first quality kunf fu movies. So face it just because you don't like him doesn't mean you have to be a asshole about it.
