    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    knee to the face

im curious if any of you know what the hell this **** was. i was training with a buddy of mine yesterday and i went in for a double leg at the same time he was comming in and i caught his knee on my face. I still landed the takedown but on the ground i felt a liquid pouring out of my nose and naturally i thought it was blood but when i looked at my hand it was a clear liquid and it was comming out in rather large amounts, it wasnt just a little bit of liquid. At the time i really didnt think much of it since it wasnt blood we didnt even stop , but later i got to thinking about it and i cant come up with what it might have been. anyone know what this stuff was?

    a) tears
    b) cerebrospinal fluid
    c) snod

if b is correct than I'd agree with Brandeissano

    Ignorant.

Let me offer you some advice. Go and see a doctor and get yourself checked out. Don't bother talkin about it on the internet.

    Was your friend an ICMAist?

It sounds like he managed to hit you in the Anal 17 point (located at the tip of your nose) followed by Spleen 197 (just between the eyes).

Essentially he Dim Makked you with the AntiGrapple.

    Or your sinuses shat themsleves.

Go see a doctor (I say, knowing that I have a free (but crap) health service).

When your face hits something (or something hits you) very hard, the sinuses break first, absorbing some of the impact and preventing lethal damage to the brain.

So you could have just drained them (i'd guess that's what happened if there was no blood) or fractured them.

PN's probably right but still get it checked out by a doc. I've seen it happen a few times in the boxing ring with no ill effects, but they've always been checked out by a doc for a while afterwards.
