I've never needed steroids; however the side-effects aren't worth it even if I did need them, such as when I was in training for the Olympics.training?
I have and they helped with my grappling, but when I pack on the muscle I lose speed in my striking. I am just wondering how many people are honest about what they do.
Work smarter not harder
You're basically giving your self cancer-- that's not muscle you're building, so much as dead tissue which accumulates when you use anabolics to upset the blance of your body's normal catabolic breakdown processes, which is the equivalent of not taking the garbage out or flushing the toilet; sure you increase mass, but it's a BAD increase!
There's also just no way that more muscle can slow down your strikes, unless you're training in a way that decreases flexibility --like the one-sided powerlifting that a lot of jocks do, pumping up their chests and biceps while neglecting stretching and everything else; also it could be the dead tissue interfering with normal motion.
Steroids also impair your judgement, causing you to train in harmful ways out of emotion more than reasoning.

This is because the subversion of the body's normal catabolic processes prevents regenerative hypertrophy, causing the structures to become corrupt, corroded and brittle, like packing concrete and mud onto a falling bridge instead of repairing it and making it stronger. As a result, the tissues become stressed and fatigued, and don't heal stronger, but just pack on more corrupt mass-- this goes for the inside of the blood-vessels as wellI One thing people tend to forget is while anabolics and their ilk increse muscle mass, the tendons and ligiments supporting the added strain do not get tougher as they do with gradual "traditional" mass gain through hard work and exercise.
Don't **** with your body, it ain't worth it, since you're essentially practicing bad inner hygeiene when you do that. -
